The objective of the Curie Institute Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.

Main tasks
The Preclinical Investigation Laboratory (LIP)
The preclinical investigation laboratory (LIP) is specialised in the development of preclinical cancer models, PDX and organoids for research and clinical cancer projects. The LIP is made up of a team dedicated to PDXs and another team focused on organoid development from patients or PDX models. The laboratory is actively involved in numerous collaborative projects at a national and international level that include PDX and organoid use.
Missions
The candidate will take part in managing a bank of organoid models generated from patient derived organoids (PDO) or PDX (PDXO). They will be responsible for cultivating and amplifying the organoids, generating samples for molecular characterisation and evaluating the efficacy of anticancer therapies in vitro.
- Participation in the development of organoid models from patient samples or PDX for different cancer types and different research projects
- Amplification and upkeep of organoids
- Management of frozen and fixed samples for molecular characterization and phenotyping of organoids
- Monotherapy and combination chemotherapy tests
- Optimisation of experimental protocols to ensure the success of experiments

Knowkedge and qualifications expected
Training and experience required
- Cellular biology qualification
- Mastering of cellular culture techniques
- Professional experience in the domain of organoids or 3D culture
Skills required
- Organisation, rigour, dynamism
- Able to work as part of a team and work simultaneously on different projects
