This position is associated with the ARTURO project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme (Cancer Mission 2023).

Coordinated by Dr Maria Carla Parrini.
Therapy resistance remains a major challenge in oncology. Recent studies suggest that the intratumoral microbiome influences responses to anticancer treatments, particularly immunotherapy. The ARTURO project aims to better understand the role of bacteria and their metabolites in the tumor microenvironment and in drug response through an innovative 3D tumor-on-chip model integrating clinical data, multi-omics analyses, and state-of-the-art technologies. The research focuses on non-small cell lung cancer and invasive lobular breast cancer.
Missions
- Perform bioinformatics analyses of transcriptomics data (bulk RNA-seq, deconvolution, scRNA-seq, and Visium HD spatial transcriptomics).
- Interact on a daily basis with experimental scientists generating the data.
- Conduct scientific and technological monitoring relevant to the project.
- Communicate analysis results through meetings, written reports, and scientific publications.

Skills required
- Fluent in English.
- Analysis of high-dimensional omics data.
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python and/or R, and familiarity with good coding practices.
