Mission
MINES Paris – PSL is launching the International Bachelor of Environmentally Engaged Engineering (I-BE³), a selective, English-taught undergraduate engineering program, addressing major environmental and societal challenges. It combines strong scientific foundations, project-based learning with each semester structured around real-world projects aligned with selected SDGs: energy, water, health, sustainable cities, climate. Based in Sophia Antipolis, I-BE³ is developed in partnership with Chimie ParisTech – PSL and is accredited by the French Engineering Accreditation Commission (CTI) as a Bachelor of Science and Engineering, conferring the French national Grade de Licence.
Within this framework, Mines Paris is seeking teaching contributors ("vacataires") in working methods, project management, and professional skills within an interdisciplinary engineering curriculum. The role focuses on supporting students in developing methodological, organizational, and professional competencies, closely connected to their semester-long SDG projects.
Teaching scope (indicative)
- Project management fundamentals: planning, task structuring, milestones, deliverables
- Collaborative methods (e.g. teamwork practices, lean)
- Problem structuring and engineering reasoning, environmental engagement
- Professional communication (oral, written, technical presentation)
- Teamwork and group dynamics
- Introduction to project monitoring tools (e.g., Kanban, basic project tracking)
Teaching emphasizes:
- learning by doing and real project situations
- interaction with SDG semester projects
- development of autonomy, collaboration, and professional posture
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver interactive teaching sessions (workshops, tutorials, seminars)
- Support students in structuring and managing their SDG projects
- Contribute to the development of methodological tools and frameworks
- Participate in student assessment (project reviews, presentations, reports)
- Coordinate with the teaching team to ensure alignment with disciplinary courses and project expectations

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in engineering, management, or related fields
- Ability to teach fluently in English.
- Proven teaching experience at undergraduate level, or strong potential for teaching excellence.
- Strong interest in pedagogy and student support
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project-based learning or training
- Experience in industry, consulting, or applied engineering contexts
- Environmental engagement
- Familiarity with agile methods and collaborative tools
- Experience in multicultural or international environments
Teaching Conditions
- Part-time teaching assignment (“vacation”)
- Typical teaching volume: 40–80 contact hours per semester (depending on course allocation and candidate profile)
- Teaching activities take place on-site in Sophia Antipolis (campus Pierre Laffitte)
- Compensation according to institutional rates
